Seventeen companies released results from drilling programs in Mexico during the third quarter of 2025. The highest gold intercept was by Torex Gold at the EPO deposit in Guerrero, with 20.10 m averaging 45.87 gpt Au, including a 2.70 m subinterval over 175 gpt Au. The intercept is part of a drilling program focused on extending the mine life at the company’s Morelos complex.
Since Q3 of 2024 the quarterly list of better gold intercepts has been topped by skarn deposits in the Guerrero Gold Belt. During the third quarter of 2025 drilling intervals from the EPO deposit and Ana Paula, both in the Guerrero Gold Belt, in the first and third positions respectively, are the only to come from skarn style mineralization. Campo Morado, also in Guerrero, is the fourth in the list, and the only other deposit that is not part of an epithermal system.
Epithermal deposits compose the rest of the table. San Dimas, Las Chispas, San Ignacio, Copalquin, Valenciana are part of low sulfidation epithermal systems. Los Ricos South, Tahuehueto, Plomosas (San Marcial deposit), La Colorada (in Zacatecas), Don David, La Preciosa, Cruz de Plata and Los Gatos belong to the intermediate sulfidation category. The Camino Rojo project displays intermediate sulfidation epithermal characteristics, beyond the skarn and CRD mineralization styles that are also present.
In total, two deposits display skarn mineralization, one more belongs to the VMS category, while five show low sulfidation epithermal mineralization, eight more display intermediate sulfidation characteristics and one presents characteristics of several styles.
