The Mining and Exploration News in Mexico; Highlights on the Third Week of October 2026

During the 42nd week of the year (October 12th to October 18th, 2026), 20 companies working in Mexico released press releases. No companies reported activities on early-stage projects. Six companies reported quarterly results and one restarted milling operations. Two companies closed financing rounds, one other completed subscription financing and two more attended conferences. One company reported drilling results, another one received environmental permits, and one more provided an exploration update. Four companies reported on deals and corporate issues. ON MEXICO ISSUES, no relevant news. ON EXPLORATION, no relevant news. ON MINING, Endeavour Silver restored mill operations at Guanceví, in Durango. Luca Mining, Mining Americas, Luca Mining, Equinox Gold, GoGold Resources and Guanajuato Silver Company reported Q3 Results. ON FINANCING. Silver Tiger Metals closed a C$100 M bought deal financing. Luca Mining completed a C$211 M subscription receipt financing. Vortex Metals closed the second tranche of a non-brokered private placement for C$600 K. ON RESOURCES AND DEVELOPMENT, Impact Silver elaborates on a gold mining opportunity and updates on exploration at Plomosas, in Chihuahua. Heliostar Metals submitted environmental permits for Ana Paula, in Guerrero. Silverco Mining reported drilling results from Cusi, in Chihuahua. ON DEALS AND CORPORATE ISSUES, First Majestic Silver announced a probable settlement agreement with Mexico on NAFTA arbitration proceedings. Goldgroup completed its strategic investment in Luca Mining. Xali Gold made an appointment to the board. ON SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, Americas Gold and Silver published its corporate sustainability report and established its baseline GHG.

Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, Third Week of October 2026
One company released results from drilling on a project in Mexico during the week.
Silverco Mining reported intercepts from fifteen holes from its ongoing 30,000 m drill program at the past producing Cusi property in Chihuahua. The program will support the restart of mining in Q4 2026 and an updated mineral resource estimate planned for H1 2027. “Mineralization at Cusi occurs in veins with mineralogical characteristics and alteration assemblages typical of low to intermediate sulfidation epithermal deposits. Silver, gold, lead, and zinc mineralization occurs along faults and open fractures containing quartz, sphalerite, and galena, with wall rock alteration characterized by silicification, clay development, and iron oxides”.

Mexico’s Best Silver Drilling Intercepts, Third Quarter 2026
Thirty companies released silver results from drilling programs in Mexico during the third quarter of 2026. Coeur Mining produced the highest silver intercept at its Palmarejo property in Chihuahua, with 11.48 m grading 1,250 gpt Ag, including 5.31 m of 2,154 gpt Ag. The results are from resource drilling on the Main Mine Trend and exploration on the Eastern District. “Recent results support the potential of the Eastern District to become a significant new mining front at Palmarejo, both in the medium-term near the Main Mine Trend (Independencia Sur), and longer-term at San Miguel and La Unión…” Mineralization at Palmarejo presents characteristics of low sulfidation epithermal systems.
Three quarters of the projects in this table correspond either to intermediate or low sulfidation epithermal mineralization systems. The more numerous are those of intermediate sulfidation affinity, including Cusi, El Tigre, Gavilanes, Columba, Alamos Silver, Cruz de Plata, Don David, San Marcial, San Acacio, Copalito, Gran Pilar (distal to a porphyry copper system), Las Coloradas, Zacatecas Silver and Tahuehueto. Low sulfidation epithermal systems in the list comprise, besides Palmarejo, Las Chispas, Copalquín, San Dimas, Claudia, Potrero, La Virginia and Cerro Caliche.
The Morelos Complex, Cerro Las Minitas, La Parrilla, Cosalá and Cerro Las Minitas present skarn and/or carbonate replacement (CRD) mineralization styles, while La Parrill adds intermediate sulfidation epithermal mineralization to that mix and Adelita is a skarn distal to porphyry copper style intrusions. Campo Morado is the only volcanogenic massive sulfides (VMS) property in the table and Santo Tomás is the sole porphyry copper deposit.
Most of the drilling activity in the quarter was in the north and northwest of the country. By State, Durango has nine entries in the table, Sonora eight, Chihuahua and Sinaloa four each. Guerrero and Zacatecas two each and Oaxaca one.
