Five companies published results from drilling campaigns in Mexico during the week leading to the PDAC convention.
Heliostar Metals announced assay results from the current drilling program at Ana Paula in Guerrero. The program’s goal is to convert inferred resources to higher confidence classifications and support the ongoing feasibility study (FS) as well to test the next set of exploration targets near the current deposit. The best result in this release was over 55 m long, averaging 9.71 gpt Au. This is a complex deposit with skarn, carbonate replacement and breccia affinities, with a late epithermal imprint.
Silverco Mining reported the final assay results from the 15,000 m 2025 drill program at Cusi, in Chihuahua. The program has extended by several hundred meters the San Miguel and San Juan veins mineralized sections. The Cusi project displays intermediate sulfidation epithermal style mineralization.
Capitan Silver reported assay results from nine holes from the reverse circulation (RC) drill program at its Cruz de Plata project in Durango. The company successfully encountered several high-grade intervals along the Jesús María trend, while final assays are pending for 25 holes. One diamond drill rig has arrived at the property and two more are expected to arrive in the coming weeks on this property with near-by intermediate and low sulfidation epithermal mineralization.
Minaurum Silver released results from its 50,000 m resource expansion drill program at its Alamos Silver project in Sonora. The current release includes drill intercepts from holes on the Europa and Quintera-Travesías zones. Six drill rigs are operating on the project at the time being. Alamos Silver displays intermediate sulfidation epithermal veins over imposed on earlier local carbonate replacement mineralization.
Axo Copper presented results from ongoing drilling at its La Huerta project in Jalisco. The current drilling is testing the down-dip extension at Las Marias, “through a series of several planned holes ranging from approximately 350m to 450m in length”. Mineralization at La Huerta has been reported by Axo as of iron oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) characteristics.
