Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, Third Week of September 2022

A busy week regarding press releases with drilling results from properties in Mexico. Eight companies posted drilling intervals, seven of which produced interesting gold numbers, five on relevant silver intercepts and a few with good base metals numbers. While the majority of intervals represent intercepts on intermediate to low sulfidation epithermal systems, the two projects with stronger gold intercepts represent a skarn system (El Limón Guajes in Guerrero) and a deposit likely to be associated, although distal, to an intrusive body (Camino Rojo in Zacatecas). Another skarn mineralization system, Adelita in Sonora, also returned high gold numbers. Low to intermediate sulfidation mineralization systems include all the highlighted silver intercepts of the week, of which the most relevant is the 10.20 m @ 1,404 gpt Ag announced by Vizsla at its Panuco project in Sinaloa. Both highlighted copper intercepts come from Skarn systems, while all relevant lead and zinc intercepts come from low to intermediate sulfidation epithermal systems.
