Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, Third Week of February 2026

Three companies published results from drilling campaigns in Mexico during the week.

Luca Mining reported assays from underground drilling to outline extensions to known mineralization on the Largo Zone at its Campo Morado mine in Guerrero. One of the holes extended mineralization by 20 m with a thick intercept of 135.7 m averaging 1.58 gpt Au, 77 gpt Ag, 0.88% Cu, 0.4% Pb, 1.6% Zn. “To date, 38 underground diamond drillholes totaling 9,043m have been completed…”. These results underscore the opportunities to add mineable resources proximally to current development headings.

Pacifica Silver announced assay results from the remaining nine holes of the 8,000 m phase I drill program at its Claudia project in Durango. The holes tested the Aguilareña, Mark Twain and Guadalupana veins. The Company has completed more than 3,650 metres of diamond drilling in 13 core holes with three drill rigs as part of its ongoing Phase II program, which is currently focused on expanding and following up high-grade mineralization, step-out drilling and testing undrilled targets in the Mina Vieja and Mina de Oro areas. Mineralization at Claudia presents low sulfidation epithermal characteristics.

Defiance Silver updated on the current drilling campaign at its Zacatecas project in Zacatecas. Results in this release represent 2,553 of drilling on the 10,000 m drill program designed to collect data in the San Acacio proposed mineral resource area and improve the main Veta Grande structural model, infill poorly drilled zones and to test hanging wall and footwall splays. Mineralization is of intermediate sulfidation epithermal character, with veins containing multi-event banded to brecciated textures.
