Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, Third Week of October 2025

Five companies presented drilling results on projects in Mexico during the week. Geographically, the drilling encompasses projects from Sonora in the northwest to Guerrero in the south, with projects in Durango and Guanajuato in between.

Luca Mining had the best intercept of 21.20 m @ 3.53 gpt Au, at its Campo Morado mine in Guerrero. The company reported four surface holes at the Reforma deposit and two underground holes at the Campo Morado mine. The bulk of gold and silver production in Mexico comes from epithermal style deposits, but it is not uncommon to see the best weekly intercepts to be topped by properties of different styles of mineralization. In this case the Campo Morado property is host to volcanogenic massive sulfides (VMS) mineralization

Copalquin in Durango and El Cubo in Guanajuato are part of low sulfidation epithermal mineralization, while Alamos Silver in Sonora and Cruz de Plata in Durango belong more likely to the intermediate sulfidation epithermal category.
