Two companies released results from drilling campaigns in Mexico, interestingly, both published results for gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc. Fuerte Metals presented results from five holes from the current drill program at the Cristina project in Chihuahua. “The forty-five holes completed in this most recent campaign have successfully defined a series of continuous higher-grade zones extending over several hundred vertical metres within the main Guadalupe vein, and now within the Los Ingleses and Mexico Libre vein systems. These higher-grade zones remain open along strike and at depth.” The project mineralization can be described as intermediate sulfidation epithermal style, probably related to a porphyry copper system.
Luca Mining presented results from the first six underground exploration drill holes at its Campo Morado project in Guerrero, in over a decade. “The Campo Morado Project hosts several polymetallic massive sulphide deposits containing zinc, copper, silver, gold and lead mineralization within a highly prospective land package totaling over 121 square kilometres”.
