During the second week of April 2025, three companies released results from drilling programs on their projects in Mexico. Heliostar Metals delivered the results from 23 holes testing the North, Intermediate and South veins in the Creston pit. Those holes are part of a 12,500 m drilling campaign at La Colorada, in Sonora, with the aim of expanding the mineral reserves “… ahead of an updated technical report and expansion decision planned for mid-2025”. The company presented core from this campaign at the Discoveries Conference in Mazatlán, including a very nice interval of intermediate sulfidation epithermal looking banded quartz vein mineralization including base metals sulfides and strong gold-silver numbers.
At Copalquin, in Durango, Mithril Silver and Gold released one more high-grade core length intercept from the El Refugio structure, with 2.90 m averaging 9.06 gpt Au, 11 gpt Ag (including 0.50 m @ 44.7 gpt Au, 43 gpt Ag. In Sinaloa, Angel Wing Metals reported core length assay results from the initial 1,400 m diamond drilling campaign at La Reyna project in Nayarit. The 13-hole Maiden drill program was focused on five wide spaced prospects: El Polo, Dolorosa North, Dolorosa South, Celeste and Zorrillo. Eight of the drill holes returned values greater than 1 gpt Au. Copalquin is a classic low sulfidation epithermal mineralization system, whereas La Reyna seems at this early stage to display intermediate sulfidation epithermal mineralization hosted in veins and breccias.
