Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, Third Week of December 2024

Three companies released results during the week from drilling campaigns in Mexico. Silver Storm results are from infill drill results from the San Marcos mine at its La Parrilla Mine Complex in Durango. The San Marcos Zone is comprised of quartz-carbonate vein mineralization hosted within a fault zone on the contact of a granodiorite stock, wit a known length of 650 m and extending for more than 450 m vertically.

Galore Resources presented results from two holes drilled in 2022 at the Los Gemelos prospect within its Dos Santos project in Zacatecas. The company compares the property mineralization to that of the Peñasquito mine (on the same Mining District), but insufficient information is available to confirm the assumption.

Silver Spruce and partner Colibri Resource reported results from 800 m drillled on seven holes at the El Pillado, El Pillado South, La Prieta and El Mezquite-Raisudo targets at its El Diamante project in Sonora. According to the description, mineralization appears to be of intermediate sulfidation epithermal characteristics, and possibly distal to a porphyry copper system.
