Pan American Silver and Silver Tiger published results during the week from drilling at properties in Mexico.
Pan American Silver’s results come from La Colorada mine, in Zacatecas, where 15,705 m of drilling were completed on 75 holes, focusing on the NC2, Mariana, Intermedia, Veta 3, SE system and Liz veins. Mineralization comprises intermediate sulfidation veins and splays, typically one to two meters wide with strike lengths between 900 and 1,500 m. Several high-grade new structures were intercepted in the drilling program, including from holes part of the La Colorada Skarn infill program.
Silver Tiger’s results are from their flagship project El Tigre, in Sonora, where the company’s drilling is aimed to gather the information need to build a pre-feasibility study (PFS). The current results highlight the expansion of mineralization along the Footwall zone of the PEA “Starter Pit”. Silver Tiger has defined several mineralization styles at El Tigre, but their efforts are by now focused in the Stockwork Zone, with disseminated low sulfidation epithermal mineralization and vein constrained low to intermediate sulfidation mineralization.
