The table below displays drilling results released during the week from three projects in Mexico.

Luca Mining announced underground drill results from its Campo Morado mine in Mexico. “The results continue to expand high-grade mineralization in multiple unmined zones located adjacent to existing underground infrastructure, highlighting the potential to grow near-mine resources and extend mine life”. Campo Morado is a volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) deposit.

Silver Storm Mining released results from its drilling program at its La Parrilla mine in Durango. The supplied intervals are from the Rosario zone, which is “characterized by a sulphide-bearing quartz-carbonate vein hosted within a fault zone striking west-northwest and dipping 64 degrees to the northeast over a known strike length of approximately 2 km. The mineralization at Rosarios extends vertically for 900 m, and its true width varies by up to 14 m. The Rosarios vein is located roughly at the northern contact of sediments and granodiorite stock. Stockwork zones are developed either in the footwall or hanging wall of the Rosarios vein, while vein splays and sulphide replacement zones are typically developed in the hanging wall”. Mineralization at the property presents skarn, carbonate replacement and intermediate sulfidation characteristics.

Tocvan Ventures released last week intervals from its reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at its Gran Pilar project in Sonora. The company’s announcement included one of the best intercepts so far in the project, with 215 m of almost 0.6 gpt Au in a location less than 2 km from the planned pilot plant facility. Based on characteristics announced in their press releases, mineralization at the site is of intermediate sulfidation epithermal character and probably distal to a porphyry copper system.
