Four companies announced results from diamond drilling campaigns in Mexico during the week. Coincidentally, the four properties present polymetallic intermediate sulfidation epithermal mineralization.
Silverco Mining reported assays from underground drilling on the Promontorio zone, at its Cusi property in Chihuahua. That drilling is part of the 30,000 m drill program for 2026, focused on infill, expansion and exploration across the area. The best interval returned 10.3 m averaging 1.61 gpt Au, 1,100 gpt Ag, 0.8% Pb, 0.5% Zn. “This infill drilling is specifically aimed at optimizing mine planning and targeting near-term resource expansion that can be integrated into the short-term mine plan.”
Luca Mining presented drilling results from the ongoing exploration program at its Tahuehueto mine in Durango. The best result comprised 4.7 m averaging 3.35 gpt Au, 109 gpt Ag, 0.68% Cu, 0.2% Pb, 12.1% Zn. “Exploration drilling has continued to intersect high-grade gold mineralization in newly identified breccia zones, close to current mine workings.”
Capitan Silver reported results from its 60,000 m drilling program at its Cruz de Plata property in Durango. The current results are from diamond and reverse circulation (RC) drilling on the Jesús María trend, both East and West of the Peñoles Fault. The best intercepts returned 6.70 m averaging 0.24 gpt Au, 257 gpt Ag, 1.3% Pb, 1.4% Zn.
GR Silver Mining announced drill results from the resource expansion drilling program at the San Marcial area in the Plomosas project, in southern Sinaloa. “Diamond drilling on the SE Extension target confirms the extension of high-grade silver mineralization for least an additional 150 metres to the southeast of the 2023 NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate (“MRE”) boundary”. The best results averaged 21.90 m of 0.08 gpt Au, 168 gpt Ag, 0.5% Pb, 1.4% Zn.
