Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, Second Week of May 2024

Three companies presented results from drilling of projects in Mexico during the week. Vizsla Silver results are from the La Luisa vein, at its Panuco project in Sinaloa. Based on metal ratios, the existence of an inclined silver-rich band at La Luisa (interpreted as tilted) is to be used in the continuing exploration of the structure. La Luisa vein has been mapped for 1,500 m on the surface, and defined by 57 holes for 1,670 m and 450 m downdip, averaging 2.56 m @ 3.09 gpt Au, 150 gpt Ag, 0.36% Pb, 1.35% Zn.

Impact Silver announced the discovery of a new vein at its Royal Mines of Zacualpan project in Estado de Mexico, where underground drilling from the Guadalupe mine intersected mineralization no named Kena Vein South, within 200 m of active mine workings. The new vein has been drill tested for 150 m and is open for extension to the southeast, updip and downdip.

Drilling results from the Quebradillas mine on La Parrilla project in Durango were released by Silver Storm Mining. Those results are from three zones not included in the last mineral resource estimate completed in 2023. The La Estrella Zone is a sulfide-bearing hydrothermal breccia within a fault identified for 225 m along strike 135 m downdip and true thickness of up to 6 m. The prior operator sampled an average of 584 gpt AgEq over a strike length of 71 m and an average of 1.89 m of width.

The results from the Panuco and Zacualpan projects are from intermediate sulfidation epithermal systems, those from La Parrilla can be described as carbonate replacement to skarn mineralization.
