Three companies announced results from drilling campaigns in Mexico during the week.

Mithril Silver and Gold provided details of continued drilling at Target 1 of its Copalquin project in Durango. The resource upgrade drilling is focused within and around the perimeter of the resource defined in 2021, including portions of the Cometa, Refugio and La Soledad vein systems. The current resource at the project contains over 500 K Oz AuEq at a grade of approximately 7 gpt AuEq. Mineralization at Copalquin presents low sulfidation epithermal characteristics.

Defiance Silver provided an update on current drilling at is Zacatecas project. “The campaign was designed to confirm the extension of the known mineralized structures both laterally and vertically as well as to validate the current geological model that will be used for the upcoming Mineral Resource Estimate”. To date, over 4,000 m have been completed of the 10,000 m program on this property that displays low to intermediate sulfidation epithermal mineralization.  

Capitan Silver reported assay results from 23 holes part of the 60,000 m drill program at its Cruz de Plata project in Durango. With three rigs currently drilling on site the focus is primarily on expanding higher-grade mineralization at depth along the Jesús María trend, testing mineralization to 500 m from surface. Cruz de Plata is a system that presents intermediate and low sulfidation epithermal characteristics in different but proximal areas.
