Four companies released copper results from five drilling programs in Mexico during the fourth quarter of 2025. The best copper intercept in the period is by Torex Gold at its ELG Underground deposit in Guerrero, with 18.2 m averaging 2.11%. Another Torex Gold asset in the list below is Media Luna West, which is near ELG Underground. Both are part of a cluster of deposits owned by Torex at its Morelos property, and important constituents of the Guerrero Gold Belt.
As in the previous quarter, and notwithstanding that most copper production in Mexico comes from porphyry copper deposits, none of the properties in the list belong to that mineralization style. ELG Underground and Media Luna West in Guerrero, and Cerro Las Minitas are part of skarn systems (with Cerro Las Minitas presenting also carbonate replacement mineralization); Campo Morado, also in Guerrero, presents volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) mineralization, while Alamos Silver in Sonora is part of an intermediate sulfidation epithermal system.
