Mexico Best Base Metals Drilling Intercepts, Third Quarter 2024

During the third quarter of 2024 six companies posted base metals results from drilling at six projects and one mining operation, all in three States in the northwest of Mexico. There were no press releases from companies exploring for copper, all the copper intercepts here displayed are a by-product of drilling poly metallic mineralization, and it is in that context that these have to be assessed. Note that the Cristina project appears twice, as the company changed name within the quarter.

Most of the projects display epithermal intermediate sulfidation mineralization, with the exception of Silver Storm’s La Parrilla project, which is described as a carbonate replacement deposit with evidences of skarn and intermediate sulfidation mineralization. Also, the Cristina, Pilar and Alamos projects are located near porphyry copper centers and show evidences of higher temperature alteration, reason to suggest here that the intermediate sulfidation fluids are related to the porphyry copper systems.
