Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, Third Week of August 2024

Three companies released during the week results from their drilling programs on properties in Mexico. Silver Tiger presented results from El Tigre project, in Sonora, where the company is completing a pre-feasibility study (PFS). The program so far has highlighted high-grade on the Keel zone and expanded near surface mineralization 700 m from the planned starter pit. At Columba, in Chihuahua, Kootenay Silver is aiming to define a maiden resource before year’s end on the multiple veins in the property. The latest intercepts extend the D-Vein to 1,080 m, and show a change to more disseminated mineralization in a dark rhyolite, although some doubts remain on the shape of this style of mineralization. Finally, Silver Storm presented results from La Parrilla property in Durango, with good grade intercepts below and in proximity to previously mined stopes.

El Tigre and Columba are good examples of low to intermediate sulfidation epithermal mineralization, whereas at La Parrilla skarn, carbonate replacement and intermediate epithermal mineralization are present.
