Tocvan Ventures and Atacama Copper were the two companies to release results from drilling in Mexico during the first week of June 2024.

Atacama Copper’s Cristina project in Chihuahua is in the midst of the Sierra Madre, hosted in andesitic volcanic rocks of the Lower Volcanic Group. “The Cristina project consists of multiple outcropping quartz veins that are frequently greater than 10 metres in width and extend for at least a five-kilometre strike length”. The company is aiming to demonstrate the underground resource potential of the mineralized system. Tocvan’s Pilar property is in the outskirts of the Sierra Madre in Sonora, hosted by volcanic rocks of the Tarahumara Formation (Coeval with Lower Volcanic Group) and Jurassic sedimentary rocks of the Barranca Group. The results are from four infill holes in the Main Zone trend and two from the 4-T trend

Judging by the significant presence of base metals and the districts the properties are in, the epithermal mineralization present can be included in the intermediate sulfidation category.
