The Mining and Exploration News in Mexico: Highlights on the First Week of June, 2026

During the 23th week of the year (June 1 to June 7, 2026), at least 22 press releases were issued by companies operating in Mexico, Of these, twelve related to deals and corporate matters, five presented exploration results, four addressed Mexican-related issues, and one covered resource and development updates.  ON MEXICO ISSUES, Silver Bull announced dismissal of its NAFTA claim against Mexico, and the company has been ordered to pay a portion of Mexico´s legal costs totalling approximately USD $998K. Orla Mining reported the illegal work stoppage and blockade at its Camino Rojo mine in Zacatecas, and days after it informed the end of the blockade and resumption of operations.  Americas Gold and Silver, Tocvan, and Advance Metals reported the best drilling intercepts in Mexico on the first week of June, 2026. ON EXPLORATION, In Sonora, the JV Questcorp/Riverside provided an update on ongoing exploration activities at La Union project, and expanded an IP Geophysical survey designed to further refine drill targets ahead of the fully funded Phase 2 drill program, and Tocvan provided an update on its fully funded 20,000m drill program and ongoing exploration activities at its flagship Gran Pilar project. In Chihuahua, Centenario Gold completed the first phase exploration program at Los Reyes project, and informed it encountered high-grade copper in underground workings developed along the intrusive-limestone contact. In Durango, Pinnacle received more positive results from second round of scoping metallurgical test at El Potrero project. In Guerrero, J2 announced the mobilization of its field team to start detailed property mapping at Sierra Plata Silver-Gold-Antimony project. ON MINING, ON FINANCING, No relevant news. ON RESOURCES AND DEVELOPMENT, Advance Metals intersected broad high-grade in first hole drilled at Gavilanes project, Durango, consisting of 220 g/t Ag over 33.9m, including 718 g/t Ag over 6.2m.   ON DEALS AND CORPORATE ISSUES, Algo Grande appointed Monica Ospina as ESG Advisor to the company. GR Silver announced the resignation of Daniel Schieber from the position of Vice President of Corporate Development and Corporate Relations for personal reasons.  Canadian Silver Hunter entered into binding stockpile access agreement on the EC1 and ES1 properties in Michoacan, and reported grab sample results from EC2, a separate ground stockpile location. Colibri announced the resignation of Mark Smethurst as a   Director of the company, effective immediately. Discovery Silver announced the appointments of Dawid Myburgh as Senior Vice President, Timmins Operations, Harold Bird as Vice President, Mineral Processing; and Gertjan Bekkers as Vice President, Technical Services. Silver Spruce provided an update on the acquisition of Jackie project in Sonora. Endeavour reported voting results from its annual general meeting of shareholders. Fuerte Metals informed that it has changed its name to Talamore Mining Corp. Gold Resource announced special shareholder meeting to vote on the strategic merger with Goldgroup Mining. Impact Silver announced the appointments of Victor Jaramillo and Hector Gonzalez as Technical Consultants to the company to work on the expanding exploration program at its flagship Royal Mines of Zacualpan Silver-Gold Mining Project in State of Mexico. Mercado Minerals signed two letters of intent to acquire two adjacent Ag-Au epithermal projects in the San Dimas mining district in Durango. During the 21st week of the year (May 18 to May 24, 2026), at least 31 press releases were issued by companies operating in Mexico, and 1 news published by the media. Of these, twelve related to deals and corporate matters, five addressed Mexican-related issues, four covered resource and development updates, three reported production results, three presented exploration results, three announced financing activities, and two discussing social issues.  ON MEXICO ISSUES, Almaden provided an update to the international arbitration proceedings under the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership with the United Mexican States. The Federal Mexican Government, through the Secretariat of Economy eliminates one procedure and simplifies 42 for mining investment. Sierra Madre received approval from the the Comisión Federal de Competencia Económica (COFECE) for the acquisition of the Del Toro Silver mine in Zacatecas. Mexican courts ruled that Capstone Copper owes unpaid royalties to Minera Portree de Zacatecas, S.A. de C.V (Royalties Inc) since 2019 on the Cozamin Mine, Zacatecas. Oroco and GR Silver reported the best drilling intercepts in Mexico on the third week of May, 2026. ON EXPLORATION, In Sonora, Masivo Silver informed that it completed its Phase 1 drill program at Cerro Colorado project, which consisted of seven holes totaling 1,601m, and JV Questcorp-Riverside reported that they have completed an expanded  aeromagnetic drone survey at the La Union project. ON MINING, IMPACT Silver and Sierra Madre reported Q1, 2026 operational and financial results. Starcore reported production and financial results for the four fiscal quarter ended April 2026. ON FINANCING, Vortex notified further extension of its previously announced non-brokered private placement. Sonoro Gold announced a non-brokered private placement for gross proceeds of CAD $10M. Torex Gold announced the appointment of Dan Rollins as Chief Financial Officer. Minera Alamos has provided its notice of intent to exercise its option to repurchase a portion of the net smelter return royalty equal to 0.75% on the Cerro de Oro project located in northern Zacatecas. Vizsla appointed Dave D ´Antonio as Senior Vice President of Technical Services. Silver Spruce granted stock options to certain directors, officers, employees and consultants. ON EXPLORATION, In Sonora, Riverside reported high-grade gold, silver, and base metals assays from Phase 2 Field Work at La Union Project. During the 18th week of the year (April 27th to May 3rd, 2026), companies working in Mexico released 26 press releases. One company informed on early-stage property work, nine companies presented quarterly and/or full-year reports. One company updated on a financing round, two more are to trade on additional markets and one informed on its reporting policies. Two companies released drill results on their advanced project/mine, one more presented a MRE and another one contracted mineral estimation services. One company signed a definitive agreement on an acquisition, two companies announced their AGM’s results, one a management update and one more the election of directors. ON MEXICO ISSUES, several mining unions made clear their repulsion to the law amendments that severely restricted their participations on companies’ earnings. ON EXPLORATION, in Sinaloa, Mercado Minerals released drilling results on Copalito.  ON MINING, Gold Royalty, Orogen Royalties, Guanajuato Silver, Sierra Madre Gold and Silver, Capstone Copper, Alamos Gold, Agnico Eagle, Americas Gold and Silver and Minera Alamos reported quarterly and/or yearly results. ON FINANCING, Sonoro Gold closed a C$12.2 M private placement. Pinnacle Silver and Gold and Silver Viper started trading on different markets. Silver Spruce announced its reporting policies. ON RESOURCES AND DEVELOPMENT, Silver Storm released drilling results from La Parrilla, in Durango. Guanajuato silver filed the MRE on Bolañitos, Guanajuato. Luca Mining presented assays from drilling at Campo Morado, in Guerrero. Aztec Minerals engaged a service company to elaborate the MRE on Cervantes, Sonora. ON DEALS AND CORPORATE ISSUES, Silverco Mining executed the definitive agreement to acquire Nuevo Silver (La Negra, Querétaro). Chesapeake Gold is now a member of the Mining Association of Canada. Pan Amnerican Silver and Capstone Copper announced theirs AGM’s results. Agnico Eagle announced the election of directors. During the 15th week of the year (April 6 to April 12, 2026), at least 21 press releases were issued by companies operating in Mexico, along with one news article published by the media. Of these, five related to deals and corporate matters, five reported production results, four presented exploration results, three addressed Mexico-related issues, three announced financing activities, and two covered resource and development updates. ON MEXICO ISSUES, Vizsla provided an update on the situation in Concordia, Sinaloa, confirming that nine colleagues have been found deceased and one remains still missed. Mithril reported an incident where their CEO and two employees experienced on-ground gunfire damage to their plane while flying near Chihuahua, about 30 km from their Copalquin project site in Durango. Rescue operations continue amidst extreme conditions at the Santa Fe mine located in the Municipality of El Rosario, Sinaloa. Last April 8th, authorities reported the successful rescue of a second miner found alive and confirmed the discovery of a third worker who had perished, while the search persists for the final miner who remains trapped. ON EXPLORATION, In Sonora, Tocvan mobilized a second RC drill rig to its flagship Gran Pilar Gold-Silver Project, to accelerate their fully funded 20,000m drilling program by enabling parallel testing of multiple high-priority targets, primarily in the South Block area, and Masivo Silver completed and extended its first diamond drill hole (CC-26-001) at its Cerro Colorado project, intersecting a significant 35.1m interval of visible mineralization characterized by quartz veinlets and sulphide minerals such as pyrite, sphalerite, freibergite, galena, and minor chalcopyrite, accompanied by a strong sericite -smectite alteration.  In Chihuahua, Kingsmen acquired 100% interest in the Claudia 2 mining concession, free of any royalty, at its Las Coloradas project.  In Durango, Mithril released drill results from its Copalquin project, confirming high grade and widespread silver and gold at Target 3. ON MINING, Endeavour Silver reported Q1, 2026 results from their Mexican operations. Aura announced preliminary Q1, 2026 production results from its Aranzazu mine in Zacatecas. First Majestic reported Q1, 2026 production results from their underground mines in Mexico.  Teck informed that it plans to release Q1, 2026 results on April 23, 2026. Torex Gold reported Q1, 2026 AuEq production of 100,874 Oz and AuEq sales of 109,222 Oz. ON FINANCING, Avino announced its intention to make a Normal Course Issuer Bid to repurchase, for cancellation up to an aggregate of 8,428,566 common shares. Sonoro Gold announced a private placement for gross proceeds of CAD $11M. Vortex Minerals closed the first tranche of its previously announced non-brokered private placement for gross proceeds of CAD $479,900. ON RESOURCES AND DEVELOPMENT, Heliostar drilled 101m of 5.34 g/t Au in the Ana Paula Expansion Zone in Guerrero; to date, it has completed 84 holes and 28,318m as part of its ongoing 2025-26 drill program at Ana Paula project. Orogen Royalties, which holds a cash-flowing 2% net smelter return royalty at Ermitaño—a property operated by First Majestic in Sonora—announced an updated Mineral Reserve and Resource Estimate.  ON DEALS AND CORPORATE ISSUES, Mexican Gold appointed Holgren Lai as Chief Financing Officer of the company. Torex Gold announced the appointment of Jacques Perron to its Board of Directors. Mexican Gold and Alcon entered into an arrangement agreement to create a diversified precious metals exploration company. Pacifica Silver informed that it has adopted a semi-annual financial reporting, effective immediately. Sonoro Gold acquired a 100%binterest in the Diana mining concession, located adjacent to the central-eastern boundary of its Cerro Caliche project in Sonora. The Mining and Exploration News in Mexico; Highlights on the Third Week of March 2026

Since 2015 Miguel Heredia and I have published the weekly newsletter ‘The Mining and Exploration News in Mexico’. It has been a very rewarding  experience and we have learnt a lot in the process on Mexico and on the global mining industry. Although a pro-bono project, the previous format consumed a lot of time. We realized we could not keep reasonably doing this task in the same manner when recently had to put more than 10 hours in the week for producing the newsletter, while doing long hours on project work at the same time. To sustain this contribution, we are introducing a new, streamlined format with all the key mining activity in Mexico, with links to all the original press releases and sources. It is our intention to continue serving the industry as long as it remains fun and rewarding as it has been so far.    

During the 12th week of the year (March 16th to March 22nd, 2026), companies working in Mexico released 32 press releases. Four companies informed on early-stage property work, four more presented quarterly and/or full-year 2025 reports. Three companies updated on financing rounds/movements, another is not proceeding with a financing round and one more is to list in the OTCQB. Two companies presented drilling results on their advanced projects, while four more informed on their incoming drill programs. One company informed on development contracts while one more received a long awaited mining permit. Finally, one company received an economic update for its project.  ON MEXICO ISSUES, no relevant news. ON EXPLORATION, in Sonora, Questcorp Mining and Riverside Resources  completed the acquisition of key claims on La Union. In Durango, Pinnacle Silver and Gold discovered mineralization after a LiDAR survey at El Potrero. In Michoacán, Canadian Silver Hunter released assay results from surface sampling of stockpiles at an undisclosed project. ON MINING, Heliostar Metals (Ana Paula, Guerrero), Orla Mining (Camino Rojo, Zacatecas), Gold Resource (Don David, Oaxaca) and Elemental Royalty (royalty on Mercedes, Sonora) presented Q4 and/full year 2025 results. ON FINANCING, three companies informed on financing rounds/movements: Barksdale Resources (San Javier, Sonora) completed a shares for debt transaction of US$351 K and completed a private placement for C$763 K. Orogen royalties informed that the company will not proceed with the previously announced private placement. Silverco Mining commenced trading on the OTCQB.  ON RESOURCES AND DEVELOPMENT, Heliostar Metals reported drilling results from San Agustín, in Durango. Silver Tiger announced contracts for development engineering and management for El Tigre, in Sonora. Orla Mining received the environmental permit for the Camino Rojo project in Zacatecas. Southern Silver Exploration presented drill results from Cerro Las Minitas in Durango. Silverco Mining announced a 30,000 m drilling program at Cusi, in Chihuahua. Pacifica Silver announced the expansion to 20,000 m of the drill program at Claudia in Durango. Zacatecas Silver received the drilling permit for its Zacatecas Silver project in Zacatecas. Silver Dollar contracted 3,500 m of drilling for La Joya, in Durango. Royalties Inc. received an economic update for the Bilbao project in Zacatecas. ON DEALS AND CORPORATE ISSUES, Orex Minerals entered into a definitive share purchase agreement with Silver Viper Minerals and Fresnillo plc to sell Silver Viper the Coneto project in Durango, for US$15 M in shares. Azucar Minerals announced the change name to Mustang Minerals Ltd. (El Cobre, Veracruz). Xali Gold announced an appointment to the board. EV Resources secured a plant for antimony production (Los Lirios, Oaxaca). ON SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, no relevant news.
