Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, Second Week of February 2026

Five companies published results from drilling campaigns in Mexico during the week. Interestingly, the five enterprises have “Silver” embedded in their name, and four of the five projects are located in Durango.

Southern Silver Exploration reported assays from drilling outlining extensions of mineralization on the recently acquired Puro Corazon claim with strong polymetallic mineralization at its Cerro Las Minitas property in Durango. The property displays a skarn-carbonate replacement system in sedimentary rocks intruded by igneous rocks.

Capitan Silver released drilling results from nine holes on its reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at Cruz de Piedra, in Durango. The results are mainly from the intersection of the Jesús María Silver Trend and the Peñoles Fault. The Jesús María trend at Cruz de Plata presents typical intermediate sulfidation epithermal mineralization.

Minaurum Silver reported results from the first holes of its 50,000 m resource expansion drill program at the Alamos Silver project in Sonora. The program is targeting the Europa, Promontorio and Travesía zones, returning multiple interesting intervals. The drilling is extending mineralization beyond the recently released mineral resource estimate. The main event at Alamos Silver is an intermediate sulfidation epithermal system that seems to be overlapping minor earlier skarn/carbonate replacement (CRD) mineralization.

Pacifica Silver announced assay results from eleven drill holes of its 8,000 m drill program at its Claudia project in Durango. The holes tested the Aguilareña,-Tres Reyes, West, Central, Guadalupana and Justina vein areas and the Pinolera trend. Mineralization at Claudia presents low sulfidation epithermal characteristics.

Mithril Silver and Gold released assay results from drilling at Target 5 on its Copalquin project in Durango. The project presents low sulfidation epithermal mineralization.
