Tocvan Ventures and Colibri Resource released results from the last three holes of their 1,167.5 m diamond drilling campaign at Gran Pilar/El Pilar project in Sonora. The results below are from a drill hole located 70 m from a previously reported hole that intercepted 108 m of 0.8 gpt Au in the Main Zone. “Mineralization is hosted in a stockwork of quartz veining, with high grade zones associated with shear zones with quartz and iron oxides filling fractures”.

From characteristics published in previous press releases, mineralization at Gran Pilar/El Pilar seems to be of intermediate sulfidation epithermal type, distal to a porphyry copper system.
