During the second week of March three companies released results from drilling campaigns on two projects in Mexico. Interestingly, both projects are in joint ventures.

Tocvan Ventures and Colibri Resource are exploring the 100-ha El Pilar project in Central Sonora, with Tocvan as the operator. Held only by Tocvan is ground adjacent to El Pilar, same that Tocvan names Gran Pilar. If you believe that to be confusing, let the two companies put a couple of holes and produce each a new release…. It is confusing, at least on the naming of the properties. What is clear is that the good intercepts on the Main zone published are within the terrain managed by the joint venture. From information on previous news releases, the mineralization in the properties seems to be of epithermal/mesothermal affinity, probably distal to a porphyry copper system.

The other property on the table below is Coneto, also in a joint venture between Orex Minerals and Fresnillo plc, with the latter as the operator. Mineralization in this project is of low sulfidation epithermal character.
