Two companies presented results from drilling programs in Mexico during the week. Vizsla Silver reported results from 11 holes on the Copala structure at its Panuco project in Sinaloa, as part of the infill program to upgrade and expand mineral resources in areas where initial production is deemed to start. Mineralization at Copala has been recognized 1,770 m along strike and 400 m down dip, hosting 83.3 M Oz AgEq at 573 gpt AgEq and inferred resources of 48.3 M Oz AgEq at 476 gpt AgEq. with intercepts of up to 1.48 m estimated true width grading 96 gpt Au and over 10 Kg Ag per tonne, it reminds how epithermal low sulfidation systems in Mexico can produce impressive bonanza grades.
At Cerro Los Gatos, in Chihuahua, Gatos Silver reported intercepts from their resource expansion drilling program, focused on the Cerro Los Gatos Deeps under the Central Zone and the South East Deeps. Below is a section along the strike of the mining development showing the areas of current drilling. The company also presented results from the exploration program on the large land package they hold. Mineralization in the district is of epithermal intermediate sulfidation characteristics.
