Prime Mining and Silver Storm released results from their drilling programs at their advanced projects in Mexico, both producing interesting silver intercepts and Silver Storm producing also good lead-zinc numbers.
Prime Mining continues its expansion drilling program, with this weeks results coming from eleven holes at the Guadalupe East area within the Guadalupe trend. at its Los Reyes project in Sinaloa. The target in this low to intermediate sulfidation epithermal system was high-grade antithetic veins stepping out to the west. “Antithetic veins are footwall and hanging wall splays that intersect the main Estaca vein at Guadalupe East. High-grade areas or “clavos” are often present at these intersections”. These and previous holes represent a 425 m extension to mineralization along strike from the current mineral resource estimate pit bottom.
Silver Storm results are from its Phase 1 diamond drilling program which targeted the Rosario mine area, specifically the Rosarios and C340 zones. In Central Rosarios seven holes encountered high-grade mineralization outside the current resource envelope, in Western Rosarios mineralization extends 135 m downdip from the last mined stope and 95 m downdip at Eastern Rosario. “The Rosarios Zone has historically been an important part of the La Parrilla Mine Complex, characterized by a sulphide-bearing quartz-carbonate vein hosted within a fault zone ….. over a known strike length of approximately 2 km. The mineralization extends vertically for 900 m and its true width varies up to 14 m. The vein sits roughly at the northern contact of a granodiorite stock and sediments and remains open along strike and at depth”.
