Only one company posted drilling results from properties in Mexico during the present week. Bear Creek Mining released high-grade gold intercepts from underground drilling at its Mercedes mine in Sonora.
The highlighted results are from the Marianas, Rey de Oro, Diluvio and Lupita deposits, located outside current reserve boundaries. “Mineralization is contained in quartz-carbonate veins, hydrothermal breccias and complex stockwork veins which are styles of mineralization distinct from those historically mined in the district and indicative of approaching proximity to the potential sources of ore-bearing fluids, which typically produce more robust ore bodies”.
Mercedes is a good example of a low sulfidation epithermal system in Sonora.
