Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, Third Week of October 2024

Only Prime Mining reported results from a drilling program in Mexico during the week. The company published intercepts from 8,110 m of drilling in 21 holes not previously released from its Los Reyes project in Sinaloa, same that were incorporated on the 2024 mineral resource estimate. These intercepts are from the Fresnillo, NB HW4, NB HW3, NB HW2, NB HW and NB Main Zone structures.

Mineralization is depicted as low-sulfidation epithermal horsetail structures in volcanic rocks, with the mineral resource located within three major trends and several generative targets, The major trends comprise the Z-T, Guadalupe and Central trends (each containing several deposits) and the Generative Trends comprise the Las Primas, Mariposa and Fresnillo areas. “Los Reyes contains a high-grade core that, due to its grades, vein widths and continuity, can be mined by either open pit or underground methods. The updated Resource statement reflects a mixed approach that considers open pit versus underground mining on an area-by-area basis”.

The mineral resource estimate just released for Los Reyes comprises 49 M tonnes grading 0.95 gpt Au, 34.2 gpt Ag (or 1.39 gpt AuEq) containing 1.49 M Oz Au, 54 M Oz Ag (or 2.19 M Oz AuEq) in indicated resources, and 17.2 M tonnes averaging 0.97 gpt Au, 39 gpt Ag (or 1.48 gpt AuEq), containing 0.54 M Oz Au, 21.6 M Oz AgEq (or 0.82 M Oz AuEq) as inferred resources.
