Southern Silver Exploration Corp. (the “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Gina Jones to the board of directors. Gina is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of PenderFund Capital Management Ltd. Previously, Gina was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of an independent brokerage firm in Vancouver, as well as CFO for its US parent. Prior to that, Gina was CFO at two Vancouver investment dealers. Gina holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UBC, articled with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and is a CPA, CA and CF, a Chartered Professional Accountant with Corporate Finance specialty designation. She holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.  In connection with this appointment, the Company has granted 100,000 incentive stock options to Gina Jones exercisable at a price of $0.20 per common share for a period of five years.
