Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, Fifth Week of July 2026

The table below displays drilling results released during the week from three projects in Mexico, and results from one more company that were not included in the previous week table.

Pacifica Silver released results from fourteen holes from the ongoing definition and expansion Phase II 20,000 m diamond drilling program at its Claudia project in the El Papantón mining district in Durango. “The latest results have identified an emerging mineralized shoot north of the historical Aguilareña shaft within the overall mineralized footprint of nearly 2 km of strike length and approximately 200 m down-dip”. Mineralization at the property shows low sulfidation epithermal characteristics, although some new holes have identified mineralization interpreted as deeper in the system with more intermediate sulfidation character.

Barksdale Resources reported gold results from historic diamond drilling that had not previously been assayed for the element. The 2024 PEA on the project considered only copper for its resource estimation. “The Company expects to complete an update to the copper and gold mineral resource inventory using current commodity price points and production costs.” The San Javier deposit is part of a large iron oxide copper gold system that extends to the nearby San Antonio gold deposit held by Axo Metals.

Mercado Minerals announced diamond drill results from the 3,000 m program at its Copalito project in Sinaloa. The intervals presented are from the 5 Señores, El Agua, El Pilar, El Medio, Chente and El Pilar Sur veins. The project displays intermediate sulfidation epithermal mineralization.

Tocvan Ventures released last week intervals from its (RC? Diamond?) drilling campaign at Gran Pilar, in Sonora. The company stressed that a new higher grade zone “… was intersected in four drill holes, with three holes returning significant near-surface mineralization”, 900 m from the pilot plant facilities. Based on characteristics announced in their press releases, mineralization at the site is of intermediate sulfidation epithermal character and probably distal to a porphyry copper system.

Mexico’s Best Lead and Zinc Drilling Intercepts, Second Quarter 2026

Thirteen companies released lead and/or zinc results from fourteen drilling programs in Mexico during the second quarter of 2026. The best results for both lead and zinc come from a volcanogenic massive sulfides (VMS) deposit: Luca Mining’s Campo Morado mine in Guerrero, with a core length interval of 100.70 m averaging 0.7% Pb, 2.6% Zn.

Eight of the twelve properties present intermediate sulfidation epithermal mineralization, including Copalito, Tahuehueto, Zacatecas Silver, San Marcial-Plomosas, Zacualpan, Cruz de Plata, Gavilanes and Alamos Silver. Gran Pilar also displays intermediate sulfidation epithermal mineralization, probably distal to a porphyry copper system. The Claudia project in Durango presents mainly low sulfidation epithermal mineralization, but the intervals here included represent some intermediate sulfidation mineralization. Cerro Las Minitas, Cosalá and La Parrilla can be described as skarn and carbonate replacement systems, the latter presenting also intermediate sulfidation mineralization.

To note is that eleven of the fourteen properties with reported lead-zinc intercepts are localized in only three adjacent states: Sonora, Sinaloa and Durango.

Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, Second Week of July 2026

Four companies announced results from diamond drilling campaigns in Mexico during the week. Coincidentally, the four properties present polymetallic intermediate sulfidation epithermal mineralization.

Silverco Mining reported assays from underground drilling on the Promontorio zone, at its Cusi property in Chihuahua. That drilling is part of the 30,000 m drill program for 2026, focused on infill, expansion and exploration across the area. The best interval returned 10.3 m averaging 1.61 gpt Au, 1,100 gpt Ag, 0.8% Pb, 0.5% Zn. “This infill drilling is specifically aimed at optimizing mine planning and targeting near-term resource expansion that can be integrated into the short-term mine plan.”

Luca Mining presented drilling results from the ongoing exploration program at its Tahuehueto mine in Durango. The best result comprised 4.7 m averaging 3.35 gpt Au, 109 gpt Ag, 0.68% Cu, 0.2% Pb, 12.1% Zn. “Exploration drilling has continued to intersect high-grade gold mineralization in newly identified breccia zones, close to current mine workings.”

Capitan Silver reported results from its 60,000 m drilling program at its Cruz de Plata property in Durango. The current results are from diamond and reverse circulation (RC) drilling on the Jesús María trend, both East and West of the Peñoles Fault. The best intercepts returned 6.70 m averaging 0.24 gpt Au, 257 gpt Ag, 1.3% Pb, 1.4% Zn.

GR Silver Mining announced drill results from the resource expansion drilling program at the San Marcial area in the Plomosas project, in southern Sinaloa. “Diamond drilling on the SE Extension target confirms the extension of high-grade silver mineralization for least an additional 150 metres to the southeast of the 2023 NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate (“MRE”) boundary”. The best results averaged 21.90 m of 0.08 gpt Au, 168 gpt Ag, 0.5% Pb, 1.4% Zn.
