Si el gobernador Alfonso Durazo negocia con el Gobierno federal que Sonora es un Estado de excepción para la minería a cielo abierto, nuestra entidad se salvará de no tronar en lo económico, en lo social y hasta en lo político.

De lo contrario, se perderá por lo menos el 25% de la economía sonorense…..

Prohibir minería a cielo abierto compromete 70% de la producción de cobre en México

De aprobarse la reforma del presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador que busca prohibir la minería a cielo abierto, se estaría comprometiendo al menos el 80 por ciento de la producción de cobre en México, advirtió Luis Humberto Vázquez San Miguel, presidente de la Asociación de Ingenieros de Mina, Metalurgistas y geólogos de México (AIMMGM).

Capstone Mining Second Quarter 2017 Financial Results

Vancouver, British Columbia – Capstone Mining Corp. (“Capstone”) (TSX: CS) today announced its financial results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2017. Cash flow from operating activities for the quarter was $4.1 million or $0.01 per share and cash flow from operating activities before changes in working capital for the quarter was $26.0 million or $0.07 per share. The net income for the quarter was $12.8 million or $0.03 per share and adjusted net income was $0.7 million or break-even on a per share basis after adjusting for certain non-cash and non-recurring charges. Copper production for the quarter totalled 24,002 tonnes (23,176 tonnes of payable copper) at a C1 cash cost1 of $1.75 per payable pound produced with copper sales for the quarter of 20,771 tonnes at a C1 cash cost1 of $1.74 per payable pound sold.

“Operational performance in the second quarter was on plan, with costs trending down from the first quarter,” said Darren Pylot, President and CEO of Capstone. “Most importantly, Pinto Valley returned to full production, setting quarterly and monthly throughput records.”

“For the second half of the year, approximately half of our production is unhedged and completely unhedged in 2018 and beyond,” continued Mr. Pylot.

Vancouver, British Columbia, July 6, 2017 – Telson Resources Inc. (“Telson” or the “Company”) (TSX Venture – TSN.V) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a mineral processing agreement with Compañia Minera de Atocha, S.A. de C.V., the owner of the Atocha mineral processing plant (the “Atocha Mill”) for the processing during 2017 of at least 21,000 tonnes of Tahuehueto ore.
Ore is being mined from the El Creston zone at Level 10, the same location as the previous 3,500 tonne industrial scale bulk sample (the “Initial Bulk Sample”) that yielded an average head grade of 9.5 g/t gold, 63.9 g/t silver, 3.54% lead and 6.24% zinc and after processing produced lead and zinc concentrates that were sold by Telson for USD $1.47 million cash receipts.

La minera Fresnillo PLC prevé un aumento de su producción de plata en 2017, luego de reportar un incremento récord de extracción el año pasado.

La compañía estableció un objetivo de producción de plata este año en el rango de 58 millones y 61 millones de onzas.La firma, que extrae oro y plata de 6 minas en México, reportó un incremento de 7.1% de su producción del 2016 a 50.3 millones de onzas, en línea con sus previsiones.
