exploration of its 5289-hectare (20 square miles) Los Pavitos project located in the well-mineralized Alamos region of southern Sonora State, Mexico. The best results are from the Las Auras and Santa Cruz target areas, which yielded numerous gold assays above 3 g/t over widths of 0.15 to 1.5 meters. The best results from Las Auras show 14.35 g/t gold over 0.5 meters and 12.25 g/t Au over 1 meter in two separate areas. On-going sampling at Santa Cruz continued to yield good gold as well as silver values with the best results being 5.48 g/t Au and 269 g/t Ag over 0.5 meters. Another sample assayed 543 g/t Ag and 1 g.t Au over 1.5m.

Morena aplica ‘madruguete’ y aprueba reforma a la Ley Minera alterna

Con 290 votos a favor, 186 en contra y una abstención, Morena y sus aliados en la Camara de Diputados madrugaron a la oposición y aprobaron en el pleno una iniciativa alterna a la del presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador que reforma la Ley Minera y otros ordenamientos.

La propuesta -votada apenas en lo general y que se discute aún n lo particular, reduce de 50 a 30 años la vigencia de las concesiones mineras, con la posibilidad de prorrogarlas 25 años más y al término de ese plazo, en caso de participar en la nueva licitación del mismo lote, el titular tendría preferencia para otros 25 años improrrogables.

Diputados avalan iniciativa minera luego de trámite exprés

Con el rechazo de la oposición, el Pleno de la Cámara de Diputados arrancó el debate que terminó en la aprobación, en “fast track”, una nueva Ley de Minería, a iniciativa del grupo parlamentario de Morena.

“Se le da certeza al pueblo de México, se protege el medio ambiente y se cuida el agua”, sostuvo el diputado Ignacio Mier Velazco, coordinador del Grupo Parlamentario de Morena al defender que con la aprobación de esta iniciativa “ahora las concesiones ya no serán producto de acuerdos o de compadrazgos, si no se darán a través de licitación pública”.

AIMMGM pide ampliar discusión sobre ley minera antes de someter su votación en el Senado

Con relación al proyecto de Decreto para la reforma a la Ley Minera, Ley de Aguas Nacionales, Ley de Equilibrio Ecológico y Protección al Ambiente y Ley General para la Prevención y Gestión Integral de los Residuos relacionados con las Concesiones Mineras y Agua que aprobó en lo general el Pleno de la Cámara de Diputados, la Asociación de Ingenieros de Minas, Metalurgistas y Geólogos de México (AIMMGM) demandó una mayor discusión del tema.
