Mexico’s Best Drilling Intercepts, Fourth Week of July 2023

Three companies released drilling results from projects in Mexico during the fourth week of July. The most remarkable are the silver intercepts from Silver Tiger’s El Tigre project in Sonora, in a recently discovered sulfide rich zone in the contact between the volcanic rock package and the crystalline basement, in the vicinity of the intermediate sulfidation veins the district is known for.

Prismo’s results confirm the potential of the intermediate sulfidation epithermal system at Palos Verdes, in Sinaloa, within the Panuco distict being explored by Vizla Silver.

Reyna Gold’s released good intercepts from the La Republicana zone at its La Gloria project in Sonora. Orogenic gold style mineralization is being defined in a 200 x 150 m zone “with a combination of gold bearing quartz veins and disseminated gold mineralization in meta-rhyolite and meta-andesite”.

Mexico’s Best Gold Drilling Intercepts, Q2 2023

Of the many good gold intercepts during the quarter in Mexico, Heliostar’s results from the Ana Paula Deposit in Guerrero are the highest. The company is trying to build the case for a high-grade underground mine, hence its focusing in drilling the core of the deposit. The second best results are from Orla Mining, with its results coming from drilling the sulfide deposit below the oxides at Camino Rojo in Zacatecas, a similar case with infill drilling targeting a tighter definition of the resource. Orla also presented an interesting result from the Guantanamero target, seven kilometers along the structural corridor where Camino Rojo is located.

Exploration on the Mulatos district in Sonora by Alamos Gold highlighted two exploration zones, Puerto del Aire and Capulin, both with multi-gram intercepts. The other relevant players delivering more than 100 gpt*m gold were GoGold Resources with results from Los Ricos South in Jalisco and Regency Silver releasing further results from its Dios Padre discovery in Sonora.
