Several companies produced good lead intercepts in Mexico during the first quarter of 2023. All the projects contain structurally controlled intermediate sulfidation epithermal mineralization, with the exception of Cordero and El Tigre. At Silver Tiger’s El Tigre project, in Sonora, the high lead results are part of sulfide rich layers concordant with the host volcanic rocks adjacent to intermediate sulfidation epithermal mineralization. At Discovery Silver’s Cordero property, in Chihuahua, the presence of lead is related to a complex intrusive/skarn/epithermal intermediate sulfidation mineralization system.
